MEET YOUR HOST
Hi, I’m Leonora.
I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 20 and have always done things a little differently. I never really trusted pension funds or the stock market with my future. I preferred investing in bricks and beautiful locations — places I believed in and would love to live in myself.
Over the years, that brought me to some very special homes: in the heart of Amsterdam’s Jordaan, surrounded by the forests of Bergen, and on the water near Amsterdam. What started as an investment slowly became something much more personal.
I love travelling and have always had an eye for interiors and unusual finds. Through my interior brand Luna Lola Amsterdam, I travel to places like Morocco, India and Bali, searching for handmade furniture, lighting, textiles and objects with a story. Once a month, I open the doors of my Luna Lola interior POP-UP in Schoorl, where I sell the treasures I bring home.
I’m 59 now and partly retired — although retirement doesn’t really suit me. I still travel, hunt for beautiful things, decorate homes and dream up new ideas.
